Ben Brough is a marine insurance veteran, with more than 28 years’ experience across the UK, US, European, Asian and Middle Eastern marine and specialty (re)insurance markets. Brough joined Loadsure from Munich Re, where for close to three decades he established and grew the business’s global portfolio.

Jim, Loadsure’s COO and Co-Founder, leverages deep experience in transportation and technology to shape company strategy and product development. He also leads sales and business development, driving a healthy pipeline that has grown to include 60 integration clients under his leadership.
Before Loadsure, Jim was Vice President of Administration at 10-4 Systems, where he oversaw sales, HR, procurement, and facilities, while managing the company’s spin-off and playing a key role in its successful acquisition by Trimble. He also negotiated major contracts with Fortune 500s, securing business with global brands such as AB InBev, Amazon, GE, Maersk, and JBS USA. Earlier in his career, Jim held operations, business development, and account management roles at Perry Transfer, a Denver-based drayage and warehousing company that evolved through M&A into Exel and later DHL Supply Chain.
Active in the Denver Transportation Club, Jim holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from Colorado Technical University.
“The opportunity to build a company from the ground-up has been one of the most satisfying experiences of my career. Where Loadsure goes from here is limited only by our imagination, and I’m excited to drive its growth, knowing that my work helps my supply chain peers not only protect their businesses, but also operate more efficiently and affordably."

An insurtech innovator, Johnny McCord applies a digital-first mindset to transform efficiency and effectiveness across the transportation and logistics insurance chain. By conceiving a fully digital, end-to-end cargo insurance solution, he positioned Loadsure to leverage automation and predictive analytics—streamlining premiums and claims while reducing costs for customers.
Under Johnny’s leadership, Loadsure has gained recognition for its innovative approach to high-volume transactional business and its ability to open new markets. The company became the only Lloyd’s of London coverholder approved in 2019 and was selected for the Lloyd’s Lab 4th Cohort. More recently, Loadsure was named the winner of Insurance Insider's 2024 Insurtech Product of the Year award, and Business Insurance's 2023 Break Out Award.
He brings more than 20 years of freight brokerage experience and a strong entrepreneurial drive to Loadsure. He previously served as a broker at Lochain Patrick and was a founding member of Roanoake International, where he built books of business that included Macy’s, Volga-Dnepr, the Olympics, and Walt Disney. Johnny is a board member of CSCMP UK.
“We’re harnessing automation to modernize freight insurance, but technology is only the tool. Our real mission is people, helping businesses protect what matters most, build resilience, and operate with greater agility. By transforming outdated processes into digital solutions, we’re enabling the freight community to move faster, reduce costs, and face the future with confidence.”
— Johnny
